BOTTOM

  • The best chips are at the bottom of the bag. I love the overcooked and broken pieces that fall to the bottom where all the extra salt lands. Mmm
  •
  • The best ideas come at the bottom of the list of possibilities. The more you ponder your options, the more likely you will make a wise choice.
  •
  • The “thing” you are looking for is often in the bottom of a drawer or box.
  •
  • Although we think of the bottom as a negative thing, often, it can be a very good thing.
  •
  • The “to do list” is a motivator and then as you cross off the last thing, the one on the bottom, you feel so GOOD.
  •
  • Looking in the mirror from over your shoulder gives you a distorted view of your bottom. Probably not a flattering view, either.
  •
  • Hitting rock bottom can be the best time of your life. It can be the moment you realize you cannot move forward alone. You reach out for help or you demand help or you sink into hopelessness. Few people can return from the rock bottom of life without someone providing assistance of some type. Sometimes it’s just the right words or a hug at the right time. Sometimes it’s a few dollars, a big of groceries, a job offer or a ride to the addiction facility. Whatever the need, the key often comes from someone else. The acceptance must come from the one on the rock bottom.
  •
  • Every now and then I see a prompt in this writing group and am instantly inspired. This time, not so much. I was dragging my own bottom trying to take it somewhere and decided to ramble. After all, a wandering mind can’t be expected to be brilliant every time, right?

  •  I said, RIGHT?
  •
  • Perhaps brilliance will flow from the fingertips next time…for now, peace, love and faith to all from the bottom of my heart.

    1. Thanks Velda...we all have something to offer, maybe this is just mine. I don't know. I just know I love to write.

  2. With you 100% on the chips and the bottom of the "to do" list (when of course I don't keep adding to it - a real downfall for me). Loved the sharing of "The acceptance must come from the one on the rock bottom." So true....

    1. Thank you Amy. Those to do lists can be everlasting. I think the key is to keep starting a new page. One day=one page. It keeps things in perspective and allows the accomplishment of one page completed!

  3. Right....although, there are some wise little nuggets here for sure. :)

    1. That's great news! I was afraid I had just rambled and done a brain dump here.

      Thanks Sylvia! ♥

  4. I'm in agreement on the salty chips at the bottom of the bag. So good! Also regarding hitting rock bottom. That's when we ask for help, that's when we finally start moving back up.

Great thoughts. And I say that from the bottom of my heart. ♥

    1. Ah, more bottom of hearts things! It must be a very loving place, don't you think?

Thank you, Lisa...reaching up or out for help is so difficult for a lot of people and yet, for some it's a way of life. So interesting to me.

  5. I actually like the chips at the top, that are all whole and unmushed! But other than that concept, I agree with you. Starting at the BOTTOM and working your way up, whether it's a problem or a job, is the best way to ensure a solid foundation!

    1. Good point. The bottom can be the end or the brightest of beginnings.

  6. My hero! Getting all these random thoughts together in one place AND having them all make perfect sense!

I love the chips at the bottom for some different breading flavors. The fact that they are already "pre-crumbly" really helps.

    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Exactly...pre-crubled! So glad they made perfect sense to you! That's a good thing for me and my wandering mind!

    1. The bottom are the best part! I may or may not have actually crumbled the last half of some bags to get that bottom of the bag feeling a little early.

But for those of you purist who like the nice whole perfect chips...enjoy! I'll wait til you're done with those and finish the bag for ya!

  9. I think you missed my favorite: "bottom's up"?

Fairly brilliant, for idle ramblings, I'd say.

  10. I hate the bottom of the chip bag because that means there are no more and that is a crisis. Well it was until I started making my own homemade chips. Now it is the bottom of the bowl that makes me sad.

Homemade chips are good, but I rarely make them...just lazy and nothing more.

  13. Just this past summer, I finally reached the bottom of the list of people I owed blog visits too. Now I'm way behind. Maybe one day I'll see the bottom again.

    1. I don't think I have ever really been to the bottom of my blog lists...near it or thought I was and BAM a new one or twelve add themselves. I love that though, I always have something to read!

  14. When the medicine chest in our upstairs bath is open just a little, the person standing in front of it gets a view of their backside in the mirrored linen closet door. I'm here to tell you that you're right about the hiney thing. I fear, though, that there's no distortion and that's really what my behind looks like.

    1. I prefer to think that all mirrors are distortion devices. I, for example, know that I am in my late 30's as far as my face goes and probably about 100 pounds as far as my body goes and hard as a rock. Yet, when I see me in the buff in the mirror, that is NOT what is reflected! So...that is my proof and I am hanging with that.
You may join me, if you wish. Reality is perception.

  15. I caught a glimpse of my bottom in the mirrored wall during exercise class. It was not a pretty sight. I love your random thoughts, bits of humor and wisdom.
